Team / organisation unit description

BP has established a Business Service Centre (“BSC”) in Budapest which provides Finance, Customer Service and Operational Procurement services to all Refining and Marketing ("R&M") businesses in Europe. The BSC provides the opportunity to combine activities dispersed across different locations, and support the standardization and simplification of processes in one location. The BSC started operating in September 2009, since than we hired 2100 colleagues. We are continuously growing and we look for experienced professionals to contribute to our success.

Integrated Supply and Trading (IST) is BP's face to the traded markets for BP in oil, gas, power, chemicals and finance.

Tasks and activities

  • Ensuring the accurate preparation of confirmations for standard paper and forward deals.
  • Ensuring contracts result in minimum overall exposure for IST and that there is a match between our confirmations and our trade capture system and 3rd party confirmations.
  • Accountability for checking and confirming the accuracy of third party and/or broker confirmations of trades, in a timely manner. 
  • Timely response or escalation of issues or concerns related to compliance, commercial or Regulatory exposure.
  • Developing and maintaining robust Front Office and stakeholder relationships, including Credit, and Legal in particular.
  • Taking active part in any Contracts and Confirmations related cross functional projects.


  • College/university degree
  • Minimum of 2 years of work experience
  • Fluency in English
  • Good technical and communication skills
  • Ability to be accurate with good attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize work and be organized, to multi-task, to work under pressure
  • Ability to understand the end-to-end processes and how actions may impact them.
