Team / organisation unit description

BP has established a Business Service Centre (“BSC”) in Budapest which provides Finance, Customer Service and Operational Procurement services to all Refining and Marketing ("R&M") businesses in Europe. The BSC provides the opportunity to combine activities dispersed across different locations, and support the standardization and simplification of processes in one location. The BSC started operating in 3Q 2009, since than we hired 2200 colleagues. We are continuously growing and we look for experienced professionals to contribute to our success.


Tasks and activities

  • Manage the complex relationship between supplier, customer and sales manager, be the primary point of contact for customers
  • Check that the order value maintains the customer within authorised credit limits and policies. Ensure violations are progressed with Sales /Credit Management to a satisfactory conclusion and keep the customer advised as requested.
  • Advise prices derived from the contract and advise an optimum delivery point as appropriate
  • Build up knowledge and competencies in the shipping industry. Help train the customer
  • Provide regular feedback on technical and commercial issues raised by customers to the account manager and other CS staff
  • Focus on handling customer complaints

  • Fluency in English and Portuguese
  • Minimum 3 years of customer service, telephone experience
  • Experience using SAP and/or Siebel and MS Office application
  • Senior stakeholder management skills
  • Strong understanding of end to end order to cash process included
